Esther Renita
Esther is a Gestalt psychotherapist in private practice who brings a deeply embodied, relational and curious approach to their work. They welcome people of all genders, sexualities, cultures, neurodiversities and relationship styles. They bring many years of lived experience and identify beyond binary gender categories.
Their therapeutic practice is informed by long-term engagement with yoga and yogic philosophy, alongside over 20 years of rock climbing and extended periods of travel for both climbing and study. These experiences shape a way of working that values physicality, presence, self-inquiry and the wisdom of lived experience, as well as an appreciation of how bodies, environments and relationships shape who we are.
Esther is particularly interested in working with people navigating identity, transition and change, including people exploring gender, sexuality and identity beyond binary or normative frameworks, those in polyamorous and non-normative relationship structures, neurodivergent individuals, and people questioning established ways of living or relating.
They also hold a strong interest in nutrition and its impact on mental health, perimenopause, embodiment, contemplative practice, as well as the psychological and relational dimensions of life transitions. Learning, self-study and ongoing reflection are central to their personal and professional life.
As a practitioner, Esther aims to offer a grounded, respectful and non-judgemental space where clients can explore their experiences at their own pace, develop awareness and self-compassion, and work together to notice and restructure patterned behaviours, experimenting with new ways of relating to themselves and others.
Psychotherapy is approached as a collaborative and relational process, attentive to both inner experience and the wider personal, social and cultural contexts in which people live.
