Sara Raby
About Sara
Sara is a Registered Psychologist whoworks with adults who are feeling overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, or impacted by difficult life experiences, including trauma, ongoing stress, and major life changes. Sara has experience across clinical and community mental health settings and understands how past experiences, current pressures, and relationships can affect wellbeing over time.
She supports people experiencing trauma and complex trauma, anxiety, depression, burnout, emotion regulation difficulties, relationship challenges, grief and loss, identity changes, and neurodivergence (including ADHD and autism). Sara also has a strong interest in working with parents, including the emotional and psychological changes that can arise during pregnancy, the postpartum period, and broader transitions into parenthood.
Approach & Style
Sara’s approach is warm, thoughtful, and grounded. She focuses on building a safe and supportive working relationship, where clients feel comfortable talking openly and making sense of what’s happening for them. Sessions often involve slowing things down, understanding patterns that may have developed over time, and gently exploring how earlier experiences might still be influencing the present.
Sara uses a flexible, individualised approach rather than a one-size-fits-all model. She draws on therapies including EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, CBT, and insight-oriented approaches. Her work combines reflection with practical strategies to help clients regulate emotions, cope with day-to-day challenges, and move towards changes that feel manageable and sustainable.
